A Traditional Influenza  and Pneumonia Recipe

The Real Rock and Rye Recipe with a kick from the 1800’s my fathers great aunts recipe. My great aunt would treat the people of the community with pneumonia with a POWERHOUSE of a respirator Remedy known as Rockin-Rye. She produced very successful results with this remedy and continued for many years treating people of the community with many other ailments as well.

Warning This is potent and not for chil​​​​dren, diabetics or anyone allergic to berries.

You will need

1 part dried horehound c/s herb -> targets respiratory system

1 part dried rose hips c/s herb -> very high in vitamin C

1 part dried mullein c/s herb - targets respiratory system and will kill ANY  virus on contact.

1 part dried or fresh  elderberry->high in vitamin C and flavonoids

1/8th cup  wild rasberries -> vitamin C content

1/8th cup wild mulberries-> vitamin C properties

1/8th cup wild strawberries -> vitamin C properties

5 clove buds-> a natural anesthetic and anti-viral

1 cinnamon stick-> a powerhouse of an antiseptic.

1 part lemon peel-> vitamin C content 

4 large strawberries stems, leaves and all

quartered-> vitamin C content

1/8th cup of raspberries 

1 cup of domestic raw wildflower honey-> anteseptic properties.

a high proof (100 max.) high quality whiskey

a 1 gallon mason jar

There are 2 phases to this recipe:

1. To infuse the alcohol with the herbs more than cover the C/S herbs with   100 proof alchohol  

2. To mash the wild berries and infuse the mash into the already herbal mixture(cold infusion). to strain coarsely and bottle.

This is an exlire type infusion with very high levels of vitamin C and antioxidants and flavonoids as well as anti-bacterial and anti-viral and anesthetic property enzymes that are present.

The vitamin C helps strengthen and maintain the immune system  the raw wildflower honey is not only a powerful antiseptic but helps the immune  system while soothing the throat membrane.


Bring 2 cups of water to a hard boil add herbs and dried elderberries

bring heat to a low simmer cover and let simmer for 20 minutes or until reduced by half.

Next, Take all the other berries finely mash them well with a fork.

Add all mashed berries and pressed and strained concoction to 32 oz. of high quality alcohol let sit for 1 week shaking daily and kept in a dark cool place coarsely strain. .

Dosing: ADULTS ONLY: Take 1 tablespoon daily.
