The Power of Herbs for Preppers Series “Setting Up Herbal Shop for the first time and Why herbal Medicine”
First Off
So what’s so great about herbal medicine?
To begin by learning about medicinal herbs and there applications allows one to eliminate the “MIDDLE MAN” when it comes to Medicine. Yes, this means broken bones as wetland sometimes even unnecessary surgery. e.g. gaul stones( no surgery may be necessary Lemon juice will solve that problem and more. read our post on Lemons and Limes. Secondly, you free yourself from the governments intervention once you become dependent on them for medicine for whatever reason they almost own you. and they can eventually dictate what and where and how much you take and even its availability. Doubt IT?… then read this post on herbs for Epilepsy.
Bottom Line! Herbal remedies aid aliments in a healthy and all natural way
with definite results. There are a huge variety of herbs, having medicinal properties and they are used to prepare the herbal medicines. They can be used directly in the form of extracts or tea, or used to produce the drugs. Several herbs consist of powerful ingredients, which
are helpful to aid a number of health problems. They can be used
safely, without causing any side effects. Some of the commonly used
herbs are American ginseng, Bee Pollen, Astragalus, Cat’s Claw, Black
Cohosh, Bladder Wrack, Chamomile, Feverfew, Damiana, Dong Quai,
Flaxseed, Ginger, Garlic, Ginkgo Biloba, Grape Seed, Green Tea, Licorice, Tea Tree, turmeric, Isoflavones, White Willow, etc.
Various herbs can be used to treat various minor and major health
problems such as common cold, sleep disorder, allergy, weight loss,
digestive problems, hair and skin problems, anxiety disorder, heart
problems, respiratory problems, hypertension, diabetes, etc. Various
parts of plants such as stems, leaves, seeds, barks and roots are used
to prepare the herbal medicine. Some of the important benefits of
herbal medicine are given below.
There are herbs that are nutritional and some even used for weight
loss, aliments such as the common cold to more severe illnesses such
as diabetes. Se our posts on Bee Pollen and the 3 supper foods that will help sustain you during a food shortage.
A few “SUPER HERBS” as I call them are: Bee Pollen, Spirulina, Chlorella, Garlic, Cayenne Ginger, Lemon Balm, Dandelion Root, Licorice Root Slippery Elm Bark.
Echinacea for example assists in strengthening the immune system.
and also is good for killing bacteria. If you have a toothache try using
Pure vanilla extract soaked on a q-tip and rub it on the bad tooth and
in the cavity several times the alcohol in the vanilla will eventually kill
the nerve thus alleviating the pain, then with another tip, run alcohol
based Echinacea tincture on the tooth and around the gum line,
this will prevent any bacteria from surviving and causing a possible
infection.
Another Benefit is that herbs can be taken as Teas, Tonics, Syrups,
Infusions, Decoctions, Tinctures, Extracts, Essential oils (most
essential oils, diluted with a carrier oil). Also They can be taken topically
as diluted essential oils; this is an essential oil diluted with a carrier
oil e.g. olive oil or grape seed oil is great as well, Coconut oil Jaba oil,
just to name a few.
Note For those who have an autoimmune disorder “Do not use this
herb or any other herb that claims to enhance your immune system.
It will work in reverse thus causing one to become sick more easily
and more severely because it lowers the threshold (reverse) from
normally increasing or raising the Threshold.
TIP: For a Cold and Flu with congestion: Take chamomile tea with
a 1/2 teaspoon of ground anise seeds. The anise will help aid in
cleansing the congestion from your system(s)
